Is Becky's Tune Club for you?

You've always meant to start playing again but never quite find the motivation or are too embarrassed about making mistakes to go to a real-life session.

You already know a few tunes and want to build your confidence and style. I grade the tunes according to difficulty, so you can start with the easier ones.
You play any instrument?
Although I demonstrate on the fiddle, the sessions are suitable for whistle, flute, mandolin, banjo and many other instruments, even if you want to learn to accompany.
Tuesday - Learn
A brand new tune taught in manageable sections.
Thursday - Improve
Technique, rhythm, ornamentation and musical expression.
Friday - Play
A relaxed play-along session to build confidence and enjoy making music together. You can make all the mistakes you like , playing in the privacy of your own home. I’ll also be on hand to answer questions.

Why I Created Becky's Tune Club
Music has been a huge part of my life for over 45 years. I've been fortunate to perform at festivals, teach the violin, and spend time learning from some of the finest traditional musicians, including inspiring players such as Martin Hayes. I also have a PhD in Historical Musicology, and I love researching the history of traditional tunes and exploring what makes great players sound the way they do.
A few years ago, everything changed when I was diagnosed with a rare inherited eye condition that gradually took away my central vision. I could no longer read printed sheet music and had to stop driving. Suddenly my musical world became much smaller.
What never changed was my love of music.
In many ways, it became even more important. I realised there must be lots of people who, like me, wanted a regular reason to pick up their instrument, learn something new, improve a little every week and enjoy making music with others.
That's why I created Becky's Tune Club.
It's a place where you can learn in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace, without worrying about making mistakes. Whether you're returning to your instrument after years away or looking to keep developing your playing, I hope you'll find encouragement, inspiration and a real sense of community here.
